I found this interesting.
https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/demo/
I did the Race one since that was the context in which I found this link. If you're going to take one, do it before reading my further comments.
I admit my results were a moderate "European American" preference. I knew it while I was taking the test--I had to really concentrate when "African American" was paired with "Good". I'm not going to excuse it or apologize for it; it is what it is.
Spoilered so I don't give away walters' result:
I got the same result as you ("Your data suggest a moderate automatic preference for European American compared to African American"). In the pretest questionnaire I stated as much.

I think it has more to do with "programming" yourself initally to go "left good, right bad" and then seeing how well you're able to de-program the association to do the opposite.
I think the test is an absolute joke because of it. It's all about programming a repetition in your brain and fingers, and then needing to have you break the association you got used to doing.

I completely agree, and think the test sets you up for it.

The only problem is that they choose the order at random, so they're just as likely to set you up for a "white=bad" as for a "black=bad" association.

I tried 3 different tests, and I think it does show a tendancy toward your ability to "merge" certain categories. You definitely get better at speed as you do more of these, and there is a practice-effect within the test, but they do randomize it. I think there is an effect from the order, but over multiple people, the randomization should negate that.

Aw... I have little to no preference.
I'm so boring.

The test says I have a strong preference for European Americans. I don't agree. I hate Europe and I watch the African Watering Hole webcam all the time! :D
Actually, I don't know how I feel about the results. I don't feel that I prefer one over the other, at least not as strongly as the results say.

I got slightly euro american bias. I won't disagree with that, but I do think the result was more because of the order than anything.
It first tested with white/good on teh right, and black/bad on the left.
Then later it came back with White/Bad on the left and Black/Good on the right. That was the confusing bit, I had to stop and think about whether something went left or right the second time around.

It says I like gay people better. YAY!
It says I like gay people better. YAY!It says I like gay people slightly more than straight people. That's true. I like gay women. I like straight women. I don't like gay men, in general. I don't like straight men, either, in general. But if I had to pick between gay men and straight men, I would pick gay men. I am a self-hating straight man.

Nasty is a GOOD thing. The fact that they classified it as bad got stuck in my head. Everything after I saw it the second time (and it cemented itself in my mind) was pure distraction.
Oh, and strong preference towards whitey.

In order to make sure I won't be fired on Monday, I'm not posting my test results.

+1 Same with 'hurt'.
Some of us are just wired differently.
I had no preference either way.

Your data suggest little to no automatic preference between European American and African American.

What is the weight of a European American laden?
That's the one question I missed.

And apparently I strongly associate white folks with weapons.
Hmmm....
I'm wondering if it isn't that I just quickly identify white people.

I only took it once, and the order seemed to induce a E-A bias. First I had white/left black/right, then good/left bad/right, then white/good/left bad/black/right, then black/good/left white/bad/right. OF COURSE I'm going to be slower when I've had three training sessions to have good/white and bad/black on the same hands, and then you swap white and black.
