We've been sitting here for the last two hours playing Wii sports. It's a hell of alot of fun. The boxing gives you a great work out.

Man, that boxing is exhausting. I'm actually sore!

I am out of shape. :embarrassed:

I bought Mario Dance-Dance Revolution for the Kids and I (in limited cappacity, as I am so old, fat and out of shape). They poo-poo'd on the idea of it, so I returned it before opening.
I bought/thought of DDR for the same reason I am interested in the wii. It makes the kid(s) get UP and do something besided sit there like a lump and press buttons with the occasional twitch.
Maybe when more games wii might like come out, I'll have to get one...

I was really surprised at how much effort it took to play Wii sports. Bowling is fun but the boxing is really the event that takes the most effort.

Coming soon for the Wii:

Wii Weights- 1, 2, and 5lb weights you strap to your WiiMote to get a better workout while playing Wii games.

See, that's what I'm talking about. The last thing I want to do is play a game that requires exertion. If I want to exercise, I'll go exercise. Not play Nintendo.

Do they have a normal controller that works with the games instead of this motion sensitive jibba-jabba?

For the most part, the jibba-jabba doesn't require the exertion of much force.

I was playing Golf with my girlfriend the otherday just fine without standing up and putting, rather just a small flick of the wrist.

She, on the other hand, likes to get into it and make like she's actually golfing.

Not much exertion of force, eh?!?

I played Wii Sports Boxing at Andrew's place yesterday -- and yeah, it was a workout! If you play two different opponents in a row, you're definitely at a disadvantage in the second bout.

I nearly threw my elbow out with my bad technique, too. :embarrassed:
