I've been playing with TiVo desktop to pull programs of our new SA TiVos to archive/burn and convert into a format for my iPod but there are some annoying shortcomings. For example, if you auto-convert shows, you can only set one format (if you want some converted for iPod and some for your Treo, you can't do it). I can't find anyway to manually convert shows that have been transferred from the TiVos to the PC. And if you set it to delete them after they're auto-transferred to the PC, it deletes them all.
I'd rather have more control- pick to convert or not on per-series basis, pick the format of the conversion on a per-series basis (and have more conversion options), pick to delete after convert or not on a per-series basis. Is there a third party solution out there that will do this?
