Can anyone personally attest to having seen a contestant on stage who was in a wheelchair?

I can't. Just seems like it's a long run for a show to not have someone who's handicapped appear on stage by pure chance.

http://wwwimage.cbs.com/daytime/price/community/images/dt_price_com_mai_q.gif Hi I heard a rumor that Vanna White was on your show before she was famous. Is this true, and also, has there ever been anyone else famous on your show? I was also wondering if you have ever had any handicapped people on the show. Would a contestant be able to get up on the stage in a wheelchair?
http://wwwimage.cbs.com/daytime/price/community/images/dt_price_com_mai_a.gif Yes, Vanna White was on the show. Yes, handicapped people have been selected as contestants. We also have wheelchair access so any person in a wheelchair can get up on stage.

Wheelchairs? Hmm.... $1499 a piece, Bob!

edit: Dammit, I have to stop responding to threads before reading the actual posts.

I saw the TIPR faq at CBS.com as well...

At what point is one considered a "contestant" - when they are selected from a pre-screen, get called down, or get on stage?

But I'm just wondering if anyone has actually "seen" them while watching the show.

I've never seen a person on crutches due to disability or in a wheelchair on any game show such as WoF or Jeapardy or tPiR or Millionare.

I could do WoF and even went to a contestant call, but even that wasn't handicapped friendly.

On "TPIR," everyone who's selected from the pre-screen gets called to "come on down," and they're considered contestants at that point (in fact, the spot where they sit/stand to do the bidding is called Contestants' Row).

I've never seen a person on crutches due to disability or in a wheelchair on any game show such as WoF or Jeapardy or tPiR or Millionare.

I'm most familiar with "Jeopardy!", and they've definitely had contestants with physical disabilities on the show, although they don't have the crutches or wheelchair out on stage; instead, they make other accommodations, which usually means a chair set up behind the podium. (This was more noticeable back when the contestants would walk in at the beginning of the show -- occasionally, they'd be standing there already.)

They've also had a couple of blind contestants, most notably Eddie Timanus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_Timanus).

I could do WoF and even went to a contestant call, but even that wasn't handicapped friendly.

Hmm...I've tried out for "Jeopardy!" four times, and as I recall, the confirmation e-mails give a phone number to call in advance if you were going to need special arrangements due to a disability or some other reason. But I don't know much about the "WoF" tryout procedure.

If a wheelchair-bound contestant was called upon on TPIR...would the announcer yell "(Name)...roll on down"?
