Shrek 3

We went to see Shrek 3 today. Not bad, though I don't think it was as good as the first 2.

One of my favorite parts of the movie was when Fiona's mother (voiced by Julie Andrews) broke through the wall with her head. After breaking through the second wall, she had knocked herself silly, and before passing out she hummed a few bars of "A Spoon Full of Sugar" and "My Favorite Things."

Did anybody else notice any good allusions that others might have missed?

I missed that. I was just happy the 5-year-old, 3-year-old, and 1-year-old were well-behaved (yes, we're clearly crazy for taking them to the movies). Same couldn't be said for the other peoples' kids in the theater.

We saw Pirates and Shrek 3 yesterday and Shrek was far and away my favorite. Loved it!

We saw it yesterday afternoon; pretty good. I didn't think the first 2 were high cinema, and this was certainly no exception. But it was a fun 90 minute diversion.

I still get a kick out of narcoleptic Sleeping Beauty. :)
