Saw this on Digg, but still - thought it was worth discussing. Someone actually thought this was a good move...

I miss cartoons looking like cartoons.

Its not that I dont like the new one, it just wont seem like the Archie comic anymore. Granted, I always thought the comics had a "stuck in the 50's" look to them.
Not that I read Archie anymore, its entirely too archaic to me.

I wonder what teh new Jalopy will look like.
Sadly, this may make me pick up a digest just to check out teh new art. I haven't bought an Archie comic since I was 8!

Yep, that would be a jalopy. Of he could have a 1996 Dodge Neon with peeling paint like my last car...

I noticed they had to cleverly give the new versions a "B" or a "V" necklace. I guess so all those new readers they'll be attracting can tell them apart.

I haven't read the comic books in at least 15 years, but I read the comic strip every day via the Houston Chronicle web site, and he does have a more modern-looking car than he used to...

(I'm interested to see if they update the comic strip with the new look, too.)
