Seriously. He should just take over for Rush permanently. He totally rocks, even when I disagree with him. I can't stand Rush.

I agree with Williams on more issues than any other person in the public eye that I can think of. I used to love it when he'd sub for Rush (back when I used to listen to Rush). I think listening to Williams sub for Rush when I was in high school turned me into a libertarian.

He is subbing for Rush right now, until 3:00pm EST.

OMG! He just argued for the legalization of prostitution and drugs! On the Rush Limbaugh show!
I love this guy! Hes awesome! I am so following this guy for a while.
BTW, even when I disagree with him, its different, I respect his opinion even when hes wrong, cus it actually makes sense, although I may think my opinion makes more sense. Unlike, Rush, Hannity and some other people, where, when I disagee with them, theyre just being stupid.

I've been rather dissilusioned and jaded with political discussion lately...this guy may have just resparked my interest in it again.

Walter Williams Wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_E._Williams)
Walter E. Williams (born 1936 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1936) in Philadelphia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philadelphia)) is an American economist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economics). He received his Ph.D. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_of_Philosophy) from the University of California, Los Angeles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_California%2C_Los_Angeles) in 1972. He has been a Professor of Economics at George Mason University (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Mason_University) since 1980, and chairman of that University's Economic's department from 1995 to 2001. Previously, he has been on the faculty of Los Angeles City College (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Angeles_City_College), California State University - Los Angeles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_State_University%2C_Los_Angeles), Temple University (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_University), and Grove City College (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grove_City_College). Williams is known for his outspoken libertarian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertarian) and sometimes conservative (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservatism) views. He is a popular columnist and author of books aimed at a general audience, and is a very popular occasional guest host of Rush Limbaugh (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rush_Limbaugh)'s radio program (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rush_Limbaugh_Show) and Lawrence Kudlow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_Kudlow)'s Kudlow & Company (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kudlow_%26_Company) TV program.
Some fans consider it noteworthy that Dr. Williams is African-American (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African-American) but is conservative in his political beliefs. Williams is a champion of black education, frequently indicting the educational systems of inner city schools for perpetuating, in his words, a fraud against African-American students and families by lowered standards. Dr. Williams is also an outspoken critic of the minimum wage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minimum_wage) and affirmative action (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Affirmative_action), believing that both practices are detrimental to blacks. Dr. Williams especially emphasizes his belief that racism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racism) and the legacy of slavery (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slavery) in the United States (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States) are overemphasized as problems faced by the black community and do not adequately explain the situation blacks face today.
Like most conservatives and libertarians, Dr. Williams criticizes gun control (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_control) as endangering the innocent and failing to reduce crime.
Dr. Williams praises capitalism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitalism) (of a laissez-faire (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laissez-faire) variety) as being the most moral and most productive system man has ever devised. "Capitalism is relatively new in human history. Prior to capitalism, the way people amassed great wealth was by looting, plundering and enslaving their fellow man. Capitalism made it possible to become wealthy by serving your fellow man." For more see Capitalism and the Common Man. (http://www.gmu.edu/departments/economics/wew/articles/97/cap-comm.htm)
Dr. Williams has gone on record as advocating the Free State Project (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_State_Project) in at least two columns and once on television. The Williams endorsement correlated with the largest single membership jump in the first 5000 phase of the project, a jump even higher than the results of the project being Slashdotted (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slashdot_effect). He also believes in the right of states to secede (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secede) from the union as was done in the U.S. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States) in the 1860s (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1860)[1] (http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig2/w-williams1.html) and has supported or been sympathetic toward various secessionist ideas in his writings.[2] (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=28529)
Dr. Williams has written hundreds of articles and publishes a weekly syndicated column. His book More Liberty Means Less Government (http://www.amazon.com/More-Liberty-Means-Less-Government/dp/0817996125), in case anyone is interested.
