I'm looking to upgrade and was looking at Orbs.
I have acouple of threads going on AVSForum, but those guys is crazy:crazy:

Yeah, I've seen ads for them in Wired. Don't know anything about them though. My guess would be that they sacrifice some sound quality for style, but I dunno.
Given those prices, I'd say they're all hype.

I vote for Rockets. Its a brand David Bott doesn't like, so don't expect a rational discussion at AVS. Go to AV123.com I have the old 550's and love them. Great value for the money, and the sound can't be beat.

Rockets have strong supporters, just as loyal as TiVo. Whenever someone would ask about speakers, the Rocket people would chime in. As would the Rocket detractors (think of the old TiVo/Replay days, when they were on the same forum.)
In a move of shear brilliance, Mr. Bott decided that the speaker forum is not the place for opinions on which product is better. :rolleyes: It was then made clear that Rocket proponents were not welcome at the speaker forum at AVS.
