For some reason I was thinking about this movie today, something random my TiVo had picked up off HBO or Sundance or similar last year. It was one of those movies that I'd never heard of but after I watched it, I was quite impressed.

Last Night (http://imdb.com/title/tt0156729/)

It's an End of the World movie, but has zero special effects and very little action. More of movie to make you think. What would you do if you knew the world was going to end at midnight?

Anyone else ever see this? Got any recommendations of your own for something I've probably never heard of?

I saw Last Night in the theater. I loved how understated it was. The world is ending and some of the people were going on as if nothing was happening. People always talk about how they would screw as many women as possible or they would do something they never did before, but the reality is that many of us would probably just do what the people in this movie did. What was funny was that some people were stealing everything they could. What would be the point of that?

One of my favorite movies is Lawn Dogs (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119506/) (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119506/). Few people have seen it, and even fewer liked it. Everyone I recommend it to ends up wondering if there's something wrong with me, but I think it is brilliant.
