View Full Version : Movie by "The Makers of Madagascar"?

My cousin got me a ticket to a movie preview for tomorrow, but it doesn't say what movie. It only says it's an animated movie from the makers of Madagascar.

Anybody know what's coming out that could be described that way?

"Makers of Madagascar"? That would be DreamWorks, no?

Could be Flushed Away (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0424095/), although that's already out.

Also, Shrek 3 is coming out in May. Might be that.

Shrek 3 is the only thing they have coming out this year that I'm aware of. They were supposed to be making the penguins movie based on "A Hard Day's Night" that they shelved for Madagascar as well, but I was under the impression that it would be straight to DVD and not out for another year anyway.

Dreamworks made Madascar? Boy, that one was a stinker. And the animation wasn't that great. I could have sworn that Fox made it...

That's be AWESOME if we got to see Shrek the Third tomorrow!

I'll post a review for whetever the movie is tomorrow night.

Yea, I checked on Surf's Up, (The surfer penguin movie), and it's Sony. Nobody that I could see was involved in Madagascar...

No. They've made no previews for it nor released any real info about it. Even the title is unknown. All that's known is that it was based on "A Hard Day's Night", had penguins for the main characters, and was shelved to make Madagascar instead.

And my vote is it's either 'Shrek the Third' or 'Bee Movie' with Jerry Seinfeld supplying one of the voices.

Yup, it was Shrek 3! The movie was only about 2/3 finished, so there were a lot of scenes with rough animation or with storyboards, but the audio seemed 100% complete. The movie was SO good. I'm not goign to give away any apoilers, but they tie Arthurian myth into the fairy tales.

I can't wait to see the movie again with all of the video finished. The bigfight at the end was almost all storyboards.
