If you look in the DIRECTV Receiver with TiVo section at TCF, or if you've seen the news.com (http://news.com.com/Customers+miffed+over+DirecTV+with+TiVo+problems/2100-1038_3-6150142.html?tag=nefd.top) article, or perhaps you've experienced it yourself - you're aware that some DirecTiVos are suffering an issue where guide data isn't jiving or being indexed correctly to season passes.

I have a zippered unit. I telnet'd in last night, and sure enough - my /dev/hda9 (/var) was full with a little over 100 Meg in the /var/log/tivolog file.

I wasn't suffering reboots like other users, but my SNL didn't record last night - and I had noticed some syndicated packages not getting recorded. I was oblivious to it happening early on apparently.

If you check your recording history, you may notice upcoming shows that are not scheduled (no upcoming showings) even though you can see them in the program guide.

The current mass opinion is that DirecTV wants to change the program data stream, and needs TiVo to update the TiVo software. Apparently to those "in the know" they've temporarily reverted back to the old stream for the time being.

Any insight on the best course of action, should they go back to the "new" format - what the best course of action on a box running 6.2-01?

Perhaps I'm oblivious to this, but has zipper been applied to later versions?
