Ignore lists -
12-20-2006, 05:14 PM
Not that I've had a long list, but decided that with the new forum everyone gets a clean slate. A person may be on ignore long enough to have changed. I'm willing to give everyone another shot as I hope they are for me if I've offended them in anyway.
BTW, this doesn't apply to montag. He will forever get the #1 spot on my ignore list.

I dont use the ignore feature. I just ignore their posts when I'm reading.

I don't ignore anybody no matter how objectionable their posts may be.

I have only ever put one person on ignore but for the life of me I can't remember who it was.

I use ignore. Makes for nicer reading, plus it keeps unwanted PMs away.

I don't use the ignore list on any forum, but have come close a few times...

I had one person on ignore for a while, but then I realized that while I would get frustrated reading his posts I missed them just the same. This place is much more fun when you leave in the lumps.

Sort of like how you make gravy?
Daphne: Please understand, the horny Bard does not represent us.

Mort Kemnon: You really think you've defeated me?
Luster: You did just explode.
Brother Silence: Twice, actually.

Yeah, it's the only way you know it's real.
I mean, hell, I can make a board filled with people that all agree with me, think I am brilliant and rush to my defense at the hint of a slight, but that would make the transition to reality tougher.

One of the greatest pleasures of resigning my moderator position was that I now felt I could put someone on ignore. That will continue if he shows up here.

I put everyone on ignore. I prefer to only read my own posts.

I was tempted once, but only for a moment and I never did it. I can't even remember who it was, either, if that says anything.

He can't read your post so it doesn't do any good to threaten him.

It isn't so much the 'Users' I'd like to be able to ignore, but some of the threads that I really just have no interest in. Skipping over someones post is one thing easily done, but when ya keep seeing the occasional 'DGAD' post it can get irritating.

I have never used the ignore feature on any forum. I have also never been offended or PO'd by anything I have read on any forum either. I don't agree with everything I see, I just chalk it up to the other person being wrong and me being right!

Don't use it. Only used it once a long time ago but it was a mistake.
