I didn't see the human getting a treat when he/she was finished. I say this test was rigged.

Maybe it's just me but I'm more amazed they taught a chimp to be able to recognize and sequence numbers.

Daphne: Please understand, the horny Bard does not represent us.

Mort Kemnon: You really think you've defeated me?
Luster: You did just explode.
Brother Silence: Twice, actually.

Mmmm.. I'd say it's more of a test of visual acuity than it is of memory. When you're flashing the numbers up fast enough, if you can't see them enough for them to distinguish themselves, then you can't remember their order because the information didn't make it there in the first place. When flashing white numbers on a black background (or vise versa), the eye takes a certain amount of time to focus on it. Different eyes focus at different speeds.

The big problem was it was juvenile chimps vs adult humans. To be a valid comparison, it should be adults vs adults, or juveniles vs juveniles.

No matter how much the government controls the economic system, any problem will be blamed on whatever small zone of freedom remains.

How is that valid if the different speices have different development times?

Human children would still be drooling if it were the chimps age, and adult chimps can't be trained very well.

You're right. It wouldn't necessarily be valid, but it would certainly be more valid than as currently set up.

The other question is how long have the chimps been doing this test vs the humans. The chimps may have had more time to practice.

Something tells me that if a chimp typed out an essay on a typewriter you guys would be pointing out the typos.

I wouldn't be impressed unless they typed out Hamlet

Things turn dark on Oa. Green Lantern Corps #38.
