The Hurt Locker

I'd never head of this movie before a friend mentioned it yesterday, and we saw it last night.

This movie follows an US Army team of EOD (Explosive Ordinance Disposal ((aka bomb squad)). It is set in Iraq in 2004.

This movie has done alot to help me understand the life of some of our soldiers have in the Middle East. It challenges my idea of what he a human can endure mentally and physically.

The most jarring scenes were when...well..nothing was happening. You're waiting for the other shoe to drop. You get a taste of the danger the specific soldiers know they are in, and how tense just doing the job through that stress must be. Small mundane repetitive tasks still have to happen to accomplish a goal, but the wrong move or an outside influence in a war zone are always a danger.

This is was a hard movie for me to watch, but for those that are up to it, I recommend it.
